What we will never do.
The Manifesto says what we believe. This text is about what we will never do. Promises speak of aspirations. Boundaries speak of character. Here are ours.
HOW WE TRADE
We will never run discounts.A discount admits the price was never honest. Our price reflects value — it is not an opening for a haggle.
We will never rush you.No timers, no "only two left", no "today only". An object has lived two hundred years — it can wait another week. So can you.
The price will never come first.First, what it is and what it has seen. Then, the figure. An object introduced by its price has already been robbed.
We will never say "invest".The value of an object can and should be watched — that is honest. But an object bought as a ticker takes its revenge in boredom. Here, money follows meaning, never the other way round.
We will never chase the mass market.Better a thousand people who truly need this than a hundred thousand who happened by. We are not building traffic — we are building a circle.
HOW WE SPEAK
We will never raise our voice.No exclamation marks, no pop-ups, no content made for the algorithm. Silence is part of our method, and a feed does not cancel it.
We will never show the founder's face.The voice, yes. The hands, yes. The story, yes. The face, no. This is neither modesty nor mystery. It is by design: in this space all the attention belongs to you and to the objects.
We will never invent an object's story.Where we know, we say "established". Where we suppose, "probable". Where we do not know, "we don't know". An invented provenance is a forgery, even when the object is genuine.
We do not guarantee authenticity — and we will never pretend we do.That is the work of an expert with the object in hand. We answer for authenticity of another kind: that the object has been read honestly.
We will never promise a transformation."Become a connoisseur in an hour" is not our genre. We give you a language, a footing and a trained eye. A person becomes a connoisseur on their own — and that is where all the value lies.
We will never call the trace of time a flaw.Patina is not dirt, a crack is not a defect, an honest repair is not a disgrace. We will tell the truth about price — a market is a market — but we will never tell an object that its biography spoils it.
HOW WE TREAT A PERSON
We will never examine you.Not knowing is no shame; no one here is checking whether you belong. We explain — we do not run a test. The host lets you in; the doorman keeps people out. We are the host.
We will never compare your collection with anyone else's.No rankings of collections, no "others have more". The only comparison we allow ourselves is you yesterday and you today.
We will never press you with guilt or fear.No "you owe it to your ancestors to preserve the legacy", no reminders of how little time there is. Legacy is a continuation, not a debt. An object will have its next chapter — that is our register.
We will never resurrect the dead.No voices, no faces, no conversations "with grandmother" — even when the technology allows it and the market asks for it. We keep what people touched. That is enough, and it is honest.
We will never tell you your family object is "not a heirloom".A heirloom is not only what sits in museums. Your grandmother's cup is no less genuine than a vase from a catalogue. Domestic memory is in our care, not our second tier.
Sixteen boundaries. They do not decorate — they restrain. That is the intent: character is what you refuse. If one day you see us break even one of them, remind us of this text. That is what it was written for.
